The GAPC (Astronomical Group "Polse di Cougnes") is a group of enthusiasts in astronomy that operates within the "Polse di Cougnes" Foundation. The members met in a fairly casual in 2003 during a meeting at the headquarters of the foundation, which allowed a short time to form a cohesive core and operational, so that in six months managed through the donation a 30cm telescope by the widow of Dr. Venturini to implement the plans of the group had proposed the observation of the sky and public education.





The purpose of the group are planned, given the current equipment, contacts with academic and scientific entities, such as the various university faculties from Friuli and collaboration in research projects coordinated by our friend Dr. Ferdinado Patat (currently engaged in ESO headquarters in Germany).

In addition to capturing images of the deep sky, since 2005 we have joined a national research project coordinated by the Observatory of Asiago, which is collaborating in addition perform activities disseminated through basic courses in primary schools since 2007 to keep the course in astronomy ' University of the Third Age of Tolmezzo, holds monthly observing evenings and public lectures.
