THE
POLSE OF COUGNES
  The center "Polse di Côugnes" is located in a quiet place surrounded by nature in the vicinity of the Parish Matrix of "San Pietro in Carnia". Its name reminds of the particular place of "rest" (polse) who made the effort, the municipality of Fielis during transportation of the deceased which were then buried in the cemetery of the Parish. The birth of this center is attributable to the will of a group of friends who have long sought a place for prayer, to also develop a particular community project. Attending the Parish discovered the "prâz of côugnes" and it is here that was built the huge complex currently visible. The center is the focal point for many activities: - Ecumenical Center for all the churches and chapel for Christian common prayer among Catholics, Protestants and Orthodox, Ecumenical door symbolizing the three monotheistic faiths (Christian, Jewish and Islamic) and the hall of dialogues with a large round table in the center, around which sit representatives of the various world religions whose sacred texts are arranged in different message boards surrounded by communal table; - Center for Astronomy, with a monitoring center, computer room for data processing, multimedia exhibition with over 100 seats and a projection screen; - Historical library with more than ten thousand volumes donated by Msgr. Elio Venier; - School bells operated by the association "Scampanotadôrs Furlans. The bell tower can translate into reality the theoretical teaching of the courses; - Center of icon painting using the technique of the Orthodox tradition; - Central reception and refreshment that once completed will house up to 40 people in rooms with private bath. - Hermitage converted from an old barn, a little 'far from the main body to allow for personal reflection or couple. -
The Botanical Gardens, defined as the "Garden of Simple" because it represents the hard work of many fans and scholars who have given birth to a reality but only non-commercial educational-experimental. The Botanical Gardens, born in 1996 enables the observation of more than 1000 species of plants, those that can use the kitchen to the poisonous ones.
Most space is reserved for plants used in phytotherapy, sorted according to the action exerted by their active ingredients in our body (nervous system, digestive tract, from the apparatus to the cardiovascular, respiratory, etc.). The period for observation Plant from May to September and "La Polse" can be found over a hundred plants from the kitchen, poisonous plants brightly colored, sometimes fatal dangers that hide, while the last of the terraces, you can see a selection, divided by households , plants and flowers that add to the wonderful landscape of Carnia.
